The opposite of a dead end job A job at ComForth CIC is directly opposite to that in a conventional call centre. Grey industrial estates are replaced by offices at home and in rural villages. Cubicles with desktop pc's and telephones are replaced by anywhere you can comfortably work using a laptop. Health issues caused by chairs, mice, screens, stress and safety are all a thing of the past. The minimum or minimal hourly wages are gone, as are time sheets and recruitment agencies. Call queues take a far less prominent role, calls are no longer recorded and performance of a 'call centre agent' is no longer measured on meaningless statistics. Add benefits such as guaranteed career options, varied training, bonuses, opt-out membership of a credit union, true community spirit and plenty of outside hours activities. Dead end jobs are now buried too - long live careers. Please note ComForth CIC offer employment only in rural and remote areas of the United Kingdom, starting in the Scottish Borders. Applications from urban areas (and abroad) are only welcome from those keen to escape to the countryside. ComForth CIC are an equal opportunities employer, with more opportunities than most.
